The person or thing that sends; origin of any communicative or informational action. ________ For some of us it is difficult to think of a definition of information which is not including a sender and a receiver, even though some, like The Linux Information Project, consider that those terms only belong in a narrow definition of information: I think it is normal if we cannot reach a final agreement about what a sender is when talking about information. If we needed a strict definition, it would end being something that only science could measure and many human communicative acts would have to be excluded.
